PLYMOUTH stage one of speedway's prestige meetings when they host the Conference League Four Team Tournament at the St Boniface Arena on Friday (May 18).
The meeting features 24 races and starts at 7.15pm, fifteen minutes earlier than the normal start time to assist in finishing before the 9.30pm curfew.
The Devils will be looking to go one better than last season when they finished level on points with host club Stoke, but had to settle for the runners-up position after Chris Johnson was beaten by Luke Priest in a run-off to decide the title.
Plymouth track a powerful quartet of skipper Seemond Stephens, Tom Brown, Adam Roynon and Nicki Glanz.
There will be some added spice provided by the return to the St Boniface Arena of former Devils Lee Smart, now riding for Weymouth, and Rob Smith (Boston).
The meeting comprises two semi-finals of eight heats each, with the top two teams from each semi-final progressing into an eight heat final.
Semi-Final One Sittingbourne: Dean Felton, Joe Reynolds, Luke Goody, Gordon Meakins. Buxton: Scott James, Jack Roberts, Ben Taylor, Jon Bethell. Oxford: Sam Martin, Grant MacDonald, Kyle Hughes, Ben Hopwood. Scunthorpe: Tai Woffinden, Byron Bekker, Josh Auty, Richie Dennis.
Semi-Final Two Cleveland: Mark Burrows, Martin Emerson, Greg Blair, Gary Beaton. Plymouth: Seemond Stephens (Pictured), Tom Brown, Adam Roynon, Nicki Glanz. Boston: Mathew Wright, Rob Smith, Darren Mallett, Simon Lambert. Weymouth: Lee Smart, Sam Hurst, Nathan Irwin, Karl Mason.
